Call for Proposals: 2020 LEEF Conference

The Call for Proposals for the 2020 LEEF Conference is open!

The Call for Proposals is intended for presentations, workshops, and panel discussions during the conference on Saturday and Sunday, March 28 - 29, 2020. If you are interested in highlighting EE research, please see below for the Call for Abstracts for the Research Symposium which is held on Friday during the conference (see below).

LEEF seeks compelling proposals that inform environmental educators about emerging trends in the profession, proven practices, and techniques for being responsive to our changing world. We are looking for creative, innovative topics that highlight ways to: increase the impact of EE through through creating more inclusive and equitable EE communities; promote and implement nature-based early learning; provide science for environmental educators; demonstrate how EE can create more sustainable and healthy communities, particularly in urban spaces; and help connect people with nature through outdoor EE.

Each proposal will be reviewed by a panel and selections will be announced by January 7, 2020.

Call for Abstracts: 2020 LEEF Research Symposium

The Call for Abstracts for the 2020 SEEA-LEEF Research Symposium is open!

Researchers are invited to share their work with environmental educators from across the state of Florida at the LEEF Research Symposium on Friday, March 27, 2020.  The symposium will be held at the Elks Youth Camp in Eustis, FL.

Environmental Education and Environmental Science based research presentations are encouraged to participate. Share results, methods, lessons learned, and problems encountered in your work through poster sessions, traditional paper presentations, lightning talks, and organized panel discussions. Network with other researchers, collaborate, and help advance the field of EE research.

We seek proposals that explore the following themes:

    • Early Childhood- Play Based Learning for Urban, Suburban and Rural Youth

    • Environmental, Community and Personal Best Management Practices (BMPs) for Mitigating and Adapting to Climate Change

    • e-Environmental Education

    • Outdoor Experiential Environmental Education

    • Innovations in Environmental Education for Special Populations
